Backed with a solid foundation in writing, copy editing and English teaching, I have a gift for spotting what’s missing in your story, what areas of your work need revised, energized or clarified, and I’m skilled at coaching you on how to improve your manuscript. I hold a B.A. in creative writing and English literature and have experience in newspaper and magazine editing, poetry publishing and legal proofreading. I also hold a B.S. in nursing, and I’m versed in medical terminology and technical writing. I’m experienced with AP style and the Chicago Manual of Style, and I know how to skillfully bend the rules, if your creativity calls for that. I currently work as the senior staff editor at the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. I write poetry and essays.
