What to Expect When We Collaborate

Free sample edit

Before you hire me, you can ask for a free sample edit of a short section of your work. I’ll edit up to four pages of your manuscript so that you get a feel for my editing style.

Editing contract

We’ll work out the details of your project, including timeframes, rates, payment methods. Then I’ll create a contract for us both to sign to ensure that I deliver what we’ve agreed upon.

Style sheet

I’ll create a style sheet for your manuscript to ensure consistency of names, formatting, punctuation and capitalization preferences, etc. A style sheet helps clarify the content and prepares you to work with a proofreader.
